*New Program This Summer! Limited Enrollment! Farnam’s Summer Fun Club is an in-town camp program (held at Farnam House) for boys and girls, ages 5 – 12 years old, beginning July 3rd – August 11th.  The program runs Monday – Friday, 1:30-5:00 p.m. To register, please fill out an application form and return it to our office. A $10 enrollment fee is also required. More information can be found on the Fun Club flyer – available in English and Spanish. Since 1951, icon1Camp Farnam has provided 5- to 12-year-olds from New Haven, Fair Haven and the surrounding communities with the kind of safe, happy, carefree summer that every child deserves to experience.

Located on 72 idyllic, wooded acres in Durham and licensed by the State of Connecticut, Camp Farnam’s programs and facilities include:

  • Olympic-sized in-ground pool
  • Baseball field
  • Basketball court
  • Hiking trails
  • Pavilion for science experiments, arts and crafts and rainy-day activities
  • Picnic area
  • Kitchen and dining facilities

Open Monday through Friday during scheduled sessions and designed to provide children with a complete summer day camp experience, activities include Red Cross swimming instruction, team-building activities, nature studies, organized sports, field events, nutrition education, cook-outs and more! The program emphasizes the group experience and encourages an appreciation for nature and the environment.

Applicants are considered without regard to race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, mental disability, national origin, age, physical disability, or ability to pay.

Transportation: Campers are transported by bus from Farnam Center and several other pick-up points located in and around Fair Haven. Transportation arrangements are made between the parents and Camp Farnam at the time of registration.

Fee: Cost for Camp Farnam is $150 per week, per child, plus a one-time $20 per camper registration fee. A limited number of scholarships are available through the Fresh Air Fund and the Farnam Community Board of Directors.
