Designed to help children experience the world as a place of wonder and learning, Farnam Center’s Nursery School program provides children 3 to 5 years old with a rich and robust preschool experience in a safe, nurturing environment.

Within a structured group setting, our experienced, compassionate staff provides the individualized care each child needs to:

  • Gain a sense of confidence and self-esteem
  • Learn through play
  • Build positive relationships with other children and adults
  • Develop physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally
  • Explore their talents and interests
  • Make good choices
  • Successfully negotiate with peers and problem solve
  • Recognize and value cultural differences

Our planned, daily activities are based on the proven Creative Curriculum, which the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and other preschool benchmarking organizations recommend to not just provide children with a rich variety of experiences, but to best develop:

  • Social and emotional competence
  • Physical and cognitive strength
  • Language and literacy skills
  • An understanding of the need to treat all people with dignity and respect

The program is staffed by highly trained and certified preschool teachers who, on a daily basis, show their caring and commitment to each and every child who walks through our doors.
