Farnam Center’s popular After-school Program provides children ages 5 to 12 years old with a wide range of social, educational, and recreational activities in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.
Licensed by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood and designed to promote personal growth, the program runs weekdays after school from 2 to 6 p.m., as well as on weekday school holidays and vacations from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Committed to helping students achieve school success, experienced staff provide participants with both academic support and fun, educational activities.
Children also take part in fitness and nutrition programs that teach how exercise and healthy eating lead to overall better health and well-being. Special hands-on programs like “Little Scientists” are also brought in to expose children to new concepts and excite them about learning.
To ensure that 5- and 6-year-olds receive the more personalized care they need to stay safe, grow and thrive, children in this age group spend their afternoons in a special area of Farnam Center that provides them with additional structure and supervision.
